Tetrad Consulting Engineers is a New Zealand based consulting engineeing firm that is built on the collaboration of highly-qualified individuals who share the same passion for providing high quality engineering services.

Our vision is to showcase practical and simple engineering.

Our small, but highly effective, design team brings together over 60-years of cumulative knowledge combining in-depth consulting engineering and innovative construction-related design experience.

From our home base of Christchurch we deliver projects all over New Zealand.

Meet The Team.

Director - Geotechnical Engineer

Steven Roberts.

Steven Roberts brings 30 years of engineering consultancy experience to Tetrad. His unique blend of experience combines 12 years as a practising structural engineer before transitioning to geotechnical engineering. During his spare time, he keeps busy in the garden and enjoys cycling.

Managing Director - Structural Engineer

Alex Loye.

Alex has 10 years of Structural engineering experience in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He has worked on some large and high profile projects both in New Zealand and overseas.

Director - Structural Drafting

Andrew Pugh.

Andrew brings 15 years of drafting and BIM experience to the team at Tetrad. He has worked on a range of complex projects across New Zealand. In his spare time, Andrew dabbles in painting, sculpting and all things creative.

Geotechnical Engineer

Callum Nish.

Callum is a self confessed “dirt nerd” and is part of our geotechnical engineering team. One of his favourite parts of the job is analysing and interpreting historical testing data. In his downtime, he enjoys using public speaking, particularly competitive debating.

Structural Engineer

Ivan Valdimirovich.

Ivan is an enthusiastic structural engineer with 8 years’ experience in the NZ construction industry. He brings to Tetrad, a diverse set of skills and knowledge. In his spare time, he enjoys playing music and dabbling in a bit of DIY.

Senior Structural Draftsperson

Matt Bijl.

Matt has experience on a wide range of residential and commercial project across New Zealand. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing and heading out on bike rides with his kids.

Administration Manager

Claire Winstanley

Family orientated, social butterfly, who enjoys biking and hill walking and loves to travel!!
